The proven ladder design: cheap per bird, cool in hot climates, easy to expand bird by bird.

The A-type (ladder) layer cage remains the most-bought cage system in the world for good reasons: the open stepped profile lets natural air move through the house, the frame is simple enough for a two-person village crew to assemble, and the capital cost per bird is the lowest way to get off the floor and into managed production. Our module measures 1950×400×440 mm (customizable) across 3–4 tiers with 3–5 hens per door at no less than 450 cm² per bird.
Think of the A-type as the honest entry into commercial laying. It is not about looking industrial; it is about feed converted to eggs at the lowest fixed cost, in a form you can expand one tier-row at a time as your cash flow grows.
Buy semi-automatic now (trolley feeding, pit or tray manure) and bolt on the automatic feeding line, egg belts and belt clearing later — the ladder frame carries both packages, so early spending is never stranded.
The open ladder profile is the friend of naturally-ventilated or low-cost tunnel houses across West Africa, South Asia and island Southeast Asia, where a closed H-type stack demands fans you cannot always afford to run.
Hot-dip galvanized at ~275 g/m² for 15–20 year life (electro-galvanized budget option quoted honestly at 7–10 years). Welded mesh doors, V-bottom wire for egg roll-forward, plastic-coated egg slide stock on request.
Rows and ends repeat identically, so a 2,000-bird start becomes a 20,000-bird farm by adding the same sets — spare parts common across every generation you own.
An A-type row is the cheapest structure per bird that still separates manure from birds, feeds from a line and rolls eggs to a collection face. For farms under ~8,000 birds, in warm climates with unreliable power, this is the configuration that survives operator mistakes and budget reality. And because the ladder is open, ammonia — the silent killer of cheap poultry buildings — simply does not concentrate the way it does under badly-ventilated stacks. Our Cangzhou line runs 300 sets/day, which is why ladder customers get stock shipment inside 5 days from roughly 600 sets of standing inventory.
Frames, cage doors, feed trough, water lines with nipples or cups per your spec, egg slides, and the optional automation kits you select. Installation drawings and videos are free; online guidance covers assembly; engineers travel to your farm on quote. Tell us bird count and house size — the layout comes with the quotation at no charge, and MOQ stays at 50 sets so trial orders and container projects both move.
