The other half of the tunnel: fan pulls, pad cools. Sized together or not at all.

Evaporative cooling drops a tunnel house 5–12°C on hot dry afternoons by pulling air through a wetted cellulose wall — the cheapest degrees per dollar in tropical poultry. Our pads are the industry-standard 7090 (150×150×2000 mm-class) and 6090 profiles: cross-fluted kraft-paper core impregnated for water stability, set in galvanized steel frames with top distribution troughs and drain-back sumps.
"7090" and "6090" describe the flute angle/geometry class; the practical difference is cooling depth versus airflow resistance, and which one your house needs is a fan-side calculation. That pairing — pad area to fan count — is why we sell the cooling wall and the exhaust fans as one psychrometric package rather than as accessories.
High water-distribution kraft core with binder chemistry chosen for tropical supply water — the pad that crusts and channelizes in month three is the pad that stops cooling and cooks the house quietly.
Opposing flute angles on the two paper faces hold the air path tortuous for contact time while keeping static penalty inside the fan curve.
Frame, top trough with distribution holes, drain return — mounting interfaces standard on our fan-wall framing.
Quoted pad area always reconciles with the fan specification at ~1.5–2 m/s face velocity; mismatch is the most common cooling-wall failure and we refuse to sell into it.
At 6–8 fans of 43,900 m³/h the face velocity through a pad wall settles near the sweet spot where wet-bulb depression is near maximum without blowing dry spots through the media. We calculate wall area, trough sizing and pump duty on the layout drawing; the controller runs pad cycling off temperature and humidity with the fan stages, protecting both birds and the media (a pad soaked overnight without airflow is a pad growing biofilm). In humid-coastal climates the honest answer is sometimes partial-pad plus higher tunnel speed, and the drawing tells you so before import duty is paid on the wrong wall.
Pads ship framed and boxed, 10-unit MOQ for container logic; annual-to-two-year media life is normal with water management we document in the maintenance guide. Replace cores and keep frames; replacement cores are stocked spares on the same account as your fans and controllers — one environment system, one supplier.
